How are prices determined?

Prices are influenced by a multitude of factors including: number of pages, time involved in developing the site, client preparation (for example, clients submitting print copy that requires reformatting and manual transcription for html design will find costs higher than clients who submit electronic files).

The best way to guess how many pages your site will be is to think of what you would like to title your navigation buttons or links. For instance, if you sell shoes, you may have the following buttons | home page | men's shoes | women's shoes | children’s shoes | about us | contact us | It only gets a little tricky when you have sub pages. These would be additional pages that stem from the main pages. For example, under men's shoes, you may have links to other pages about men's causal shoes and men's dress shoes.

Keep in mind that web development is primarily a time intensive "service" rather than just a "product".

Is Page loading time really important?

It is if you want to keep your customers on your web site. There's a funny thing about web surfers - they are an impatient lot. If they have to wait more than ten seconds for a page to load they have a tendency to leave the site. Dreado Design builds your site with this in mind.

Do you host websites?

Websites need to be stored somewhere, so that they are available for people to access. We at Dreado Design will not host the files for the site. We could include hosting in the price and pay for another company to host it, but we would rather be honest and give you the opportunity to shop around for a host, just as you are shopping around for a designer. Having said that, if you prefer us to handle all that, we are happy to do so.

Should I register my own domain name?

Registering your own domain name is not necessary in order to have a web site, most website hosts will give you a url you can use, usually www.hostname.com/yourcompany.htm or www.yourcompany.hostname.com. However, having your own domain does add professionalism to your site, it is the difference between the above examples and www.yourcompany.com. You can register domain names at various sites on the Internet, and for various prices, it is a matter of shopping around for a package that fulfils your requirements. Will my site work with these other browsers I'm hearing about?

We believe it is very important that everyone has a choice as to what software he or she uses to view web pages. That's why we code our sites to look good in different browsers. More and more people, especially since the release of FireFox, are embracing that choice, so this is an important factor for you to consider.
